Mentors and Fidelity Teams
ISII mentors have been certified as trainers, coaches, and fidelity raters. They provide support, training and mentoring to clinicians, administrators and other professionals in GenerationPMTO and GenerationPMTO-informed methods of prevention and treatment. ISII mentors are currently training and coaching professionals in cities, states, and countries, including Michigan, Kansas, Oregon, Minnesota, Missouri, Utah, and New York City in the United States, and internationally in Norway, the Netherlands, Mexico, British Columbia, Iceland, Denmark, and Uganda.
SII has developed an observation-based valid measure to evaluate competent adherence to GenerationPMTO – Fidelity of Implementation Rating System (FIMP: Knutson, Forgatch, Rains, & Sigmarsdóttir, 2009). Reliable FIMP raters are certified GenerationPMTO practitioners who have received extra training and participate in ongoing reliability testing as a part of our international FIMP network. The ultimate goal is to sustain fidelity and prevent drift in current and future generations of GenerationPMTO practitioners, which is part of ISII’s commitment to ensuring success in the implementation process. ISII has an international team of reliable FIMP experts (Consensus Team) that convenes monthly to define and refine GenerationPMTO practice to assure competent adherence to the model. The Consensus Team ensures that adaptations for cultural and contextual considerations maintain model fidelity. Representatives from PMTO implementation sites join Consensus Team meetings. The Consensus Team ensures that adaptations for cultural and contextual considerations maintain model fidelity. Representatives from GenerationPMTO implementation sites join Consensus Team meetings. The Consensus Team produces the standard for annual reliability tests for trained GenerationPMTO FIMP raters. A separate ISII FIMP team and FIMP teams from each implementation site meet monthly for reliable checks.
